Geof has it right about obsessive backups. I just recovered the firefly picture that begins this weeks posts from a retrospect backup.
The file got overwritten on my hard drive array but since I do incremental daily back ups there was an older version of it easily recoverable.
What are other people doing for back up strategies?

Geof,
Thanks I will look into BRU server as I am switching systems in the office around this coming month. Is it difficult to set up?

Stephen-
Good link to the Retrospect site. However, there are a few better products out there now that we highly recommend. Retrospect is the GM of the backup world: they have an industry standard product that has few updates and some big problems in the way it works. A more full featured product is BRU from Tolis, which is way more full featured and plays nicer with more devices. It can be more of a headache to set up as its not as GUIfied as Retro though. Time Machine server (part of OS X.5 Leopard server) is also showing a lot of promise for a multi user scenario.
