It seems like Canon listened to pro users when it designed the G11 (announced here). It has a lower pixel sensor than the G10. 10 megapixels vs almost 15 on the G10. But that should give us a less noisy image.
It is available in September.
anyone want to buy my G10?

I like the way the G10 looks, there is a button for everything, it is a sort of Bauhaus aesthetic. My guess is that the G11 will look just like the G10. It is too bad if video does go away. I have actually shot video on my G10 that I've sold to NGTV. It would be too bad to loose that function.

But is it going to be a bit less plug ugly and is it going to have 24mm like the LX3?
If so, then even I might become interested.
