Luther plays with his dog at Zebra Ranch May 1999
Last week's news (here) of iconic music producer Jim Dickinson's death was felt far and wide. His musical influence is legendary. From the Rolling Stones to the Replacements, Dickinson did it all.
His legacy lives on with his sons Luther and Cody and the North Mississippi All Stars. Music is the blood of that family.

Yes Luther says the ranch will keep going, or that is what I read. One of my favorite albums, Other Turner, was produced there.

I had no idea you'd been here- love it, and Luther! It was powerful stuff to be in Memphis when Dickinson passed, playing music with and for so many friends he'd worked with, whose lives he'd touched. I only knew him in passing, but he and The Memphis are part of me and many others. Remember the video questions I was asking you last week? This is what the post-Memphis song is about.
Everything is connected. And world boogie is coming.
And Zebra Ranch is open for business!
