I just arrived in Juba after a grinding 11 hour drive from Kajo Keji. I am dirty, I smell and Juba is not much of a place to rest. It is a wild west town during a gold rush. Only the gold here is NGO money for rebuilding South Sudan. I have seen a lot of the country today and it needs rebuilding.
This is the main road up from Kajo Keji in one of the bad spots. There are lots of bad spots, but work is being done, the fields on either side are being de mined and infrastructure is going in. But anyone interested in heading this way, take my advice and fly from Kampala. $150 on Eagle Air, your back will thank you.
