I'm supposed to be in Pennsylvania today shooting, but bad weather closed the airports. It is a good thing too as my studio looks like this this morning. Flooded. Broken pipe, water on the floor. Water and photo equipment mix poorly so I did have something of a heart attack when I saw the water everywhere...
I do think that I am always fighting water in my career. In Madagascar (above) it was flooded roads at the end of the wet season.
In New Britain (below) we were fighting a meter of rain a month, just trying to keep from being flushed off the Nakania Plateau. That is a lot of rain.
The problem is that weather, rain, sleet, snow makes for good pictures. The issue is always keeping my equipment working while shooting, or getting through the weather to shoot.
Well that is the issue on a job. Today my issue is getting gallons of water off my studio floor. Anyone got a mop?

@Peter,
the wet vac has been a big part of my life since I moved into this place... There is a persistent leak in the north wall, but the broken pipe was a real shock. Luckily all the expensive stuff was off the floor.

So sorry to hear this Stephen. Wet dry vac?

Miserable mess, I'm sure. We're experiencing white-out conditions in Northern Virginia. Just awful.
