Tim Hetherington was killed in Misurata this morning. Chris Hondros and Guy Martin were also severly injured. NYT details here.

Bat Crash coverage wins IBF Echo Achievement award

I got a call today telling me I'd won the International Bat Film Festival Echo Achievement Award in photography for my coverage of White Nose Syndrome in National Geographic. I am sandwiched in between Christian Bale and Merlin Tuttle. Awards are given at the Explorer's Club on April 30.
