A year ago I was just getting back from a long, often frustrating trip to Iran. I went to shoot a story about Iran's climbing culture for NGM and the magazine ultimately decided not to run the story. That happens with journalism sometimes the story does not run and I tend to put those things behind me.
Today's NYT piece about a US force build up in the middle east made me think a bit about my time in the Islamic Republic. It is a wonderful country with a very difficult government.
