Oak trees stars in the Unicoi Mountains, NC.
I was planning on shooting a time lapse of this image but the frost was just too heavy. No amount of attention would keep the lens clear as ice built up on the camera. The frost was so heavy I am not certain that even a set of dew zappers would have worked.
On instagram and facebook few people have asked about the technical specs of this image so here it is.
lens: Canon 16-35mm f 2.8 II
focal length: 16mm
f stop: 2.8
iso: 3200
shutter speed: 30 seconds
Because this was port of a failed time lapse the camera was controlled with a dynamic perceptions MX2 motion controller on a stage zero dolly.

Thanks Andrew I'll give them a shot. http://www.astrozap.com/scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=57
