I am just passing through Budapest again on my way home. What a difference a couple weeks makes. When I arrived in August it was almost 100, hot and dusty. Now fall is definitely in the air. It has been a good, hectic and productive few weeks in Europe. As always I did not get nearly everything I wanted to accomplished, but what I did get done I can't complain about. Ok, off to the airport. Phone Friday is tomorrow and there is some interesting news.
This scouting frame of Barcelona's harbor is stitched from 7 vertical frames. At this location I had to shoot through windows so the highlights are getting kind of funny. In the end, this view was a little too industrial and we shot the final photo from Montjuic.
One of the things about scouting a job is that no matter what you think, or can visualize from google earth or acme mapper things always look different in person. In this case I had completely dismissed this location when looking at it from home. But in person it is pretty good.

The weather in the South has been horrendous. Hundreds killed. My heart goes out to everyone effected. The storms have blown through leaving clear blue skies and wonderful weather.
I was in Nashville yesterday for taping of Talk of the Nation. I wasn't on the show, but wanted to be in the studio for the final airing of Jacki Lyden and my Nashville Up from Prostitution story. Afterward I hung around downtown to practice. I have a huge panorama assignment coming up and wanted to work with some new equipment before I get into the field. Photography is a physical skill and there is no substitute for practice. The full sized image is big, 13,000 pixels wide x 3,500 pixels high.
